The next development step of the already well known Eigertour is its Winter Edition. The combination of Skimountaineering with Paragliding opens a whole new type of race with a completely new dimension. 

The Winter Edition starts with 15 teams of 2 very experienced Mountaineering Athletes on January 20th 2023 in Fiesch from where it goes to Andermatt on the same day. The Second day it goes to Disentis and on the last day the race ends in Flims.

The race route to take will strongly depend on the snow and wheather situation. Every evening the time needed for the given daily route will be taken for every team and added up on the last day to evaulate the winning team. Since we go all along the train line of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn - we can take the train if needed at any place (i.e. for safety reasons).

We hope for good wheather and a low avalanche risk to explore the high alpine scenery around the source of the big rivers of central Europe (Rhine, Rhone, Po, Inn/Donau). In case of high avalanche risk or low cloud base, the valleys and local ski resorts will provide us a safe playground to experience the Skimo / Paragliding combination and finish our days happily and tired.
